We believe, the Bible states very clearly, that parents are to teach their children about God. Here at Union Grace Church we want to partner with you in training your child. Proverbs 22:6 says “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it”. One of the first steps that you can take is dedicating your child back to God.
Scripture evidence for Baby Dedication can be found in I Samuel 1:27, Luke 2:22.
Is dedicating a child to the Lord the same as infant baptism?
No, in dedication the emphasis is with the parents and we of the Baptist faith do not believe in baptizing infants.
How can we schedule a baby dedication?
Dedications are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month. To schedule an appointment and counseling with the Deacon Ministry call the office 30 days in advance. Dedications are done by the Sr. Pastor or his designee.
Requirement for Dedications:
Parent(s)/guardian should be active member(s) (at least 90 days) and have completed their New Members Class and the child being dedicated should be eight weeks to 36 months old.

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and of Jesus, symbolic of a spiritual cleansing and for the remission of sins. Children are encouraged to attend our Children’s Church ministry where they will be instructed on what Baptism is all about. Once a child is of the age of accountability, and with their parent/guardians permission, they are welcomed to be baptized. After each sermon is preached, an invitation is given for anyone to join our church family. You will then receive instructions on when and how to prepare for baptism.
4Therefore we have been buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

Christian marriage is a solemn and public covenant between a man and a woman entered into in the presence of God and lived out in the support of a community of faith. We believe that a Christian marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman formed and lived in God’s presence and in the discernment of God’s will.
The wedding ceremony is the liturgical expression of that relationship. The wedding is a worship service of joy and thanksgiving which includes the public exchange of vows and the proclamation of God’s blessing.
“Marriage is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, deliberately, and in accordance with the purposes for which it was instituted by God.”
We believe that careful consideration and pre-marital counseling should take place prior to the wedding. If possible, we advise that you contact the church office at least one year prior to your wedding date (or as soon as you realize that you plan to marry), to schedule your wedding and to arrange counseling. We also have professional wedding coordinators who can support you with your wedding plans.
Marriage is not something that happens at one particular moment or something God is invited to attend; it is a lifelong process and the more prepared you are for it, the better it will be.
